We would like to thank and recognize George Keck, the original owner of the pillows, for his service with the United States Army Air Force (AAF) from 29 Dec 1942 through 26 Nov 1945 as a Power Turret and Gunsight Mechanic (678) after having received his initial training as a student at the AAF Turret School, Lowry Field, Denver, CO. We would also like to thank his daughter, Georgine Shelton, for having preserved his mementos and for donating them to the auction which has led to their final home here in Colorado where her father, George, spent the early part of his service during WWII. We also thank Ed Dietrich who purchased these pillows from the auction and then donated them to the Wings over the Rockies Museum as well as providing this photo of the Lowry Field pillow.
